Marquees HTML

You will find and learn in the HTML tutorial some marquees basic examples. An HTML marquee is a scrolling piece of text or image showed according to its settings, it can be scroll up, down, left or right.



HTML Marquees

The marquee tag is a non-standard HTML element which allows you to build text or image to scroll up, down, left or right according to the setting.  
You can build this through the use of  HTML <marquees> tag.
However different browsers does not support HTML <marquee> tag.

Syntax html marquees:

<marquee attribute_name="attribute_value"....more attributes>
Text or image
</marquee>

The <marquee> Tag Attributes

width - This attribute indicates how wide the marquee is in pixel or percentage value.
height - This attribute indicates how tall the marquee is in pixel or percentage value.
direction - This attribute indicates which direction the marquee should scroll. Possible values are left, right, up and down.
behavior - This attribute indicates what type of scrolling within the marquee should be used. Possible values are scroll, slide and alternate.
scrolldelay - This attribute indicates the interval between each jump in milliseconds.
scrollamount - This attribute indicates the amount of scrolling at each movement of the marquee text. The value is in pixel.
loop - This attribute indicates the number of times to loop. The default value is INFINITE, denoting that the marquee will loop continuously.
bgcolor - This attribute indicates the background color through color name or color hex value.
hspace - This attribute indicates the horizontal margin around the marquee. The value is in pixel or in percentage.
vspace - This attribute indicates vertical margin around the marquee. The value is in pixel or in percentage.
